Rajouri, June 02 (KNO): Army's Bomb Disposal Squad (BDS) on Tuesday afternoon destroyed a live shell that was found lying in village Kalal of Rajouri's Nowshera sub division. Official sources told news agency—Kashmir News Observer (KNO) that on Monday evening, some people grazing their cattle near a water stream saw a live shell of 120 mm lying there. “The matter was brought to the notice of a local Sarpanch who thereafter took it to the local Army unit," a local resident said. Acting swiftly, on Tuesday morning, Army's BDS destroyed the live shell on the spot, thereby preventing loss of any life. A police officer said that the shell fired by Pakistani Army was destroyed by Army’s BDS in Kalal village and averted a major tragedy—(KNO)
